Home > OUR OTHER CRUISES > Every Saturday, Musical cruise on the Seine
You will enjoy...
Departing from the Pont Neuf, take a 1 hour cruise and discover the monuments in a way you have never seen before... from the Seine and in song: French songs from the repertoire of 1900 to the present day, songs from the collective memory, festive songs, poets' songs, cabaret songs...
From our boat you will have a front row seat to admire the show with our singer and the spectacle of Paris: the Grand Palais, Pont Alexandre III, Notre Dame Cathedral and of course the Eiffel Tower, the highlight of which will be its glittering (depending on the time of sunset).
Included in this cruise is a drink for young and old.
Inspired by the great jazz and soul singers such as Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin, Louise was introduced to music and singing at an early age.
Of French origin, it is nevertheless in Spain that she made her first stages. She sang with "La Factoria de Record", "V.O.S" and in a piano-vocal group with Alejandra Villar Caziani.
Established in France since 2015, she joined EDIM and obtained a DEM Jazz. Her teachers are Vincent Jacqz, Laurent Coq, David Prez, Gary Brunton and Eric Shultz. She participates in masterclasses with Sheila Jordan, Dave Douglas and Stjepko Gut.
Louise currently performs with Soul and Jazz groups such as "Sauvages", the "Venezia quartet" and the "Up Trio".
During her studies at the Edim she discovered an interest in composition and, during jam sessions, met the musicians who were to form her quintet. Their repertoire, made up of original compositions and standards from the Great American Songbook, mixes jazz, blues and soul influences.
MV attended Sara Lazarus' jazz vocal workshop at the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris and Michelle Hendricks' workshop in Sannois as well as masterclasses with Fay Claassen, Youn Sun Nah and Avishai Cohen. She was a student of the songwriter Claude Lemesle's workshop for several years and also attended the songwriting workshop of American singers Becca Stevens and Rebecca Martin.
She is a finalist of several musical springboards: Jazz Educational Network (November 2015), Le Mans Cité Chanson - Tremplin francophone (March 2017) and the International Crest Jazz Vocal Competition (August 2017).
A singer-songwriter, MV invites the public on a musical journey through the continents of jazz, bossa and pop. She performs in various concert halls such as Le Jazz Café Montparnasse, La Bellevilloise, the Bus Palladium, L'Entrepôt and Le Réservoir. She sang as the opening act for pianist Shai Maestro at Carré Belle Feuille in Boulogne Billancourt on February 12, 2013 and at several editions of the Paris Night Market. She has also participated in the following festivals: Jazz en Boucle, Saint-Maur des Fossés (2013), les Journées Georges Brassens, Paris (2014), Wine and Swing, Megève (2015), the Versailles Jazz Festival (2019) and the World Music Online Festival organised by the National Conservatory of Mongolia (2020).
